Classe Kalyani Nagar – Vegetarian Fine Dining

November 26, 2016 by Pragati Bidkar

Classe in Kalyani Nagar offers a unique concept for vegetarian fine dining. Not fond of eating at places where nonveg food is served? You can enjoy your pure vegetarian meal in peace in an upscale environment thanks to Classe.

Ambience is one of the first things you notice when you enter a restaurant. Soft lighting has long been associated with elegance. It can also set the mood for some romance. The hushed atmosphere at Classe will make you feel special. Sheer curtains between the tables add an extra element of privacy, making you feel exclusive.

Now the food. Classe offers multi course, multi cuisine menus. This itself is something different for Punekars. Tired of endless trips to the buffet. Well, you can just relax here and give yourself a rest. You will have an array of delicacies presented to you at your table, and you don’t need to take a single step for it.

They say we eat with our eyes first. Presentation is taking on a lot of importance in fine dining, with the proliferation of cooking shows. Every plate of food presented to you at Classe is a piece of art. Not only is the food plated in a pretty way, but also decorated with some kind of intricate design that serves to further beautify it.

Classe offers diners the choice of 10, 15 or 21 course menus. Every dish presented is considered a course. So your mocktail is  Course 1, Soup is Course 2 and so on. A La Carte is also available. The restaurant encourages booking a table if you want to go for the multi course option.

A wide variety of cuisines is on offer like Asian or Chinese, Italian, Fusion and Indian. The main course we had was Indian. Smoky chillies, probably chipotle, provide an interesting dimension to every course, and are artistically presented in the form of intricate design patterns on the plate.

Here’s a brief peep into what our 10 course meal looked like at Classe.

A Cranberry Margarita started off the meal, followed by a Smoked Cheese and Paprika Soup. This paprika was the hot kind and the soup had a kick that will fire up your taste buds.

Cottage Cheese Pinwheels had a cheese cover and spicy tomato sauce to go with it. The Wonton Chaat had chickpeas in a crispy shell and was presented in a very fine way. Ravioli Parmigiani was a surprise, with a stuffing of chopped tomatoes and a cheesy sauce on top. Tarot Nest was a nest of fried noodles with a flavorful green sauce with tender crisp veggies.

A palate cleanser, a gingery drink, was served before the Indian courses began. Claypot Cottage Cheese and a Seasonal Vegetable Curry were served with Pepper Roti and Kulcha. Hyderabadi Biryani with Raita followed.

By this time, I was totally stuffed and hardly had any room for dessert. The Saffron and Almond Soil will delight mousse lovers and has the right textural diversity.

Classe, as the name suggests, offers an upscale environment to enjoy a plentiful meal, letting you focus on mingling and enjoying with your friends and family while food is served at the table.

Head over to Classe in Kalyani Nagar, and catch a movie while you’re at it.
