While the northern latitudes enjoy a pleasant spring, summer has arrived in full swing in India. 42C+ temperatures make me wonder if I am really in Pune. There is no way one can frolic in this sun. Chilling at your favorite watering hole with some special summer drinks seems like the next best thing.

Summer of the Legends is back on at Hard Rock Café. So tune in to your favorite music and be entertained with a long list of specials that are planned for you. Wednesdays bring karaoke with ‘Sing for your Supper’, Thursday Live nights bring quizzes and prizes to be won. Get dressed up as your legend on Saturday Nights to get your very own ‘Dream Cover’ in a special photo booth.

Hard Rock Café is fast becoming popular for all these special festivals they have. The special drinks menu takes care of most tastes. The Bourbon Sour will please the whiskey drinker and brings the classic cherry flavor to usher in summer. The Puerto Rican has tropical notes with orange and pineapple and dark, white and golden rum. The Malta Orange and Dill Mojito is great for the slightly adventurous, made with Malta oranges and white rum, muddled with dill. A wide range of mojitos allow you to choose your favorite from Green Apple, Kiwi and Strawberry. The Material Girl’s Pom Martini is sweet and smooth, served in a mason jar for a change, and is vodka based.

If you are partial to any one kind of liquor, this menu offers a good variety.

All these fabulous drinks need some good food to go along with. Vegetarian options offer Sweet Chili Fries, LA Confidential Burger, Lebanese Falafel Wrap and an Italian Sub Roll. Carnivores have the Wild West French Fries, Popcorn Chicken, Mexican Soul – Fish & Chips along with a Chicken Shawarma Roll and the Legendary Burger.

The LA Confidential Burger has a crispy patty and a beetroot relish in between. Sumac seasoned potato wedges are served with some of the dishes and they were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and well cooked on the inside. Masala Fries are also a must try and are a HRC signature, with sweet and spicy flavors served with a cheesy sauce and zesty salsa.
